To update the Aadhaar number, book the Appointment as follows-
You must first go to the UIDAI website https://ask.uidai.gov.in/.
Now you have to fill in your phone number and captcha code on the open page in front of you.
After this send OTP to your phone number and click the Proceed for OTP button.
Submit the OTP on your phone in the box on the right.
The Aadhaar service will be written in a new page that is open in front of you.
Click here for Update Aadhaar option.
Click Mobile Number Update:
This will open a page in front of you. Here you will see name, Aadhaar card, address options. Click on anything you want to change here. If you need to update your mobile number or you want to link your phone number to Aadhaar, you can fill in the details here and click on what you want to update. After that you select the mobile number and submit it.
Enter the updated number:
Now you have to fill in the captcha on the next page. Enter the updated mobile number Complete this process by sending OTP to your phone number, as well as checking the OTP on your mobile number. Then click on Save and Proceed.
You will be notified before submission. Double check all the information you have provided. Submit after this. Then you book your appointment. You can do this by clicking on 'Book Appointment'.
Aadhaar Center:
Now you have to go to the Aadhaar Center at the next level. Here you will be charged Rs 50. Your number will be updated after this.
Mobile Number Update Required: -
If you use the Aadhaar number for any verification process, the OTP will come in your number. This OTP comes with your registered mobile number or email id. In that case if your mistake or old number is in Aadhaar, you will not be able to get OTP so you will not be able to complete your process. With this, you will not be able to link your Aadhaar to any document.
